Crying, Looking, Sleeping
The faces of a 4-week old infant are few, but extremely expressive. After the birth of my first daughter, I was soon inspired to sculpt and capture the moments that define such a young little one. Sculpting three poses proved a great challenge, as the measurements I had taken were nearly useless after just a few weeks of work. The original inspiring pose was sleeping, followed by her newborn gaze looking. After exhausting several variations of these two for the final pose, I settled on the inevitable crying.
